Grove makes it easier to connect, experiment, and simplify the prototyping process. No jumpers or soldering is required. The are thousands of Grove modules, covering a wide range of applications that can fulfill a variety of needs. Difference between the regular version and the 90 Degree version: There are mainly two different versions of the Grove Female Header. They are the regular and the 90 Degree version. When the regular one is soldered onto a PCB, the header sits perpendicular to the PCB, whereas when the 90 Degree version is soldered onto a PCB, the header sits parallel to the PCB.
